GOLD cooking workshops

NAQ Nutrition hosts cooking workshops as part of Brisbane City Council’s Growing Older and Living Dangerously program. Each hands on workshop is run by our qualified dietitians and nutritionists and includes food and nutrition tips to help you make healthy choices. People with all levels of cooking skills are welcome. Our workshops are a chance to develop new skills and gain confidence in a relaxed and social environment.


Friday 28th January – Cooking for 1 or 2

Creating a feast for 1 or 2 people doesn’t have to be daunting. our dietitian will share some recipes and tips on cooking smaller meals.

Tuesday 15th March – Gluten Free Goodies

Gluten free meals don’t have to be hard to prepare. Join us in this hands on workshop and create wonderful gluten-free meals and snacks that everyone will enjoy. Coeliac awareness week is in March! For more information on Coeliac disease please go to – Coeliac Australia Home

We are thrilled to announce that we are back running face to face workshops! With strict COVID safety plans ensuring we adhere to social distancing rules, you will see some changes to the way our workshops are run, however this won’t take away from the fantastic experience of participating in our cooking workshops! Some of these include  reduced participant numbers, no sharing of ingredients or cooking equipment and participants preparing food for themselves only. Our number 1 priority is to ensure the safety of all participants.

Important – if you are showing signs of cold or flu, have travelled in the last 14 days (domestically or internationally) or have been in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, we are unable to let you attend the workshop. If you have booked into the course and reply yes to any of these,  please know in advance and we will refund or postpone your booking.

  • $5 per person. Paypal payment preferred.

  • All participants must wear closed in shoes.

Rosie Mohr – Dietitian/Nutritionist APD

Rosie is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with a diverse range of experiences in the field of nutrition over the past 8 years, all with a strong focus on preventative health.


Carly Booth – Dietitian/Nutritionist APD

Carly has worked with a diverse range of industries to improve health and wellbeing. With a passion for food, Carly enjoys cooking with the community.


Refund Policy

If you are unwell and cannot attend you are entitled to a refund, alternatively we can transfer your booking to our next available cooking workshop. We appreciate you notifying us in advance so that we can fill your place from our waitlist.
