School holiday cooking workshops

NAQ Nutrition hosts cooking workshops as part of Logan City Council’s Krank program. Each hands on workshop is run by our qualified dietitians and nutritionists and includes food and nutrition tips to help your teen make healthy choices. All cooking skill levels are welcome. Our workshops are a chance to develop new skills and gain confidence in a relaxed and social environment.



Thursday 20th January – Sushi cooking class

Learn the art of preparing delicious healthy sushi. Enjoy your creation at the end with the group.

Time: 10:00 – 11:30am

Cost: $3

Friday 8th April – Mexican Fiesta

Mexican food is a feast for the eyes and the taste buds. Enjoy making fresh and healthy Mexican dishes in this hands on cooking workshop. 

Time: 10:00 – 11:30am

Cost: $3

Location: Caddies Community Centre, 19-33 South Street, Jimboomba

Please note – Due to Queensland Government restrictions regarding gatherings, siblings and parents will not be allowed into the venue unless booked in. Please call or email us if your child needs you to attend or requires more assistance. Cash payments on the day will not be accepted, please pay online.

Important – if you are showing signs of cold or flu, have travelled in the last 14 days (domestically or internationally) or have been in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, we are unable to let you attend the workshop. If you have booked into the course and reply yes to any of these,  please know in advance and we will refund or postpone your booking.

Some information about our workshops

  • KRANK workshops are open to Logan residents 12 – 17 years old
  • $3 per person. Paypal payment preferred
  • All participants must wear closed in shoes

Rosie Mohr – Dietitian/Nutritionist APD

Rosie is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with a diverse range of experiences in the field of nutrition over the past 8 years, all with a strong focus on preventative health.


Carly Booth – Dietitian/Nutritionist APD

Carly has worked with a diverse range of industries to improve health and wellbeing. With a passion for food, Carly enjoys cooking with the community.



Refund Policy

If you are unwell and cannot attend you are entitled to a refund, alternatively we can transfer your booking to our next available cooking workshop. We appreciate you notifying us in advance so that we can fill your place from our waitlist.
